Auto Insurance

Auto insurance that meets your needs!

Looking for car insurance that provides you with the coverage you need that won’t cost more than your vehicle’s worth? With Click2bind, we’ll gather rates from multiple carriers and help you select the one that best fits your needs.

Types of coverage

  • Comprehensive Coverage is recommended as long as it fits within your budget. If you’ve financed your vehicle, then it’s required. We also recommend this type of policy for vehicles that are new, expensive or difficult to replace. If you have collector vehicles or your car falls under the category of antique autos, then this type of coverage is a must.
As the name suggests, Comprehensive Coverage covers just about everything. Whether your car is stolen, you hit a tree, or your vehicle sustains damage from the weather, you can count on Comprehensive Coverage insurance to return your car to as good as new or offer you full replacement value.
  • Collision Coverage like full coverage is required if you have a lienholder. This insurance will cover the cost of repairs or vehicle replacement in the event of a Motor vehicle collision.
  • Liability Insurance is the bare minimum to be legally compliant on the road. This insurance covers you for any damage you cause if you are at-fault in an accident. It will make the other parties “whole,” and protect your personal assets without a deductible.
  • Personal Injury Protection & Medical Payments cover the medical bills of you and your passengers, regardless of fault.
  • Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Protection is strongly recommended because even though state law requires that all drivers carry insurance, not everyone complies. If you’ve been hit by a driver without insurance or the driver’s insurance isn’t enough to cover your Medical and Compensatory damages, this type of coverage is a lifesaver.

What does it cover?

In general, Auto insurance covers Property damage and Bodily injury. The property in question doesn’t have to be a vehicle. If a driver collides with a home, for example, then his insurance should also reimburse the homeowner.

Depending on your policy, there are additional coverage options that can also be added for an additional cost, including:

  • – Car rental reimbursement
  • – Roadside assistance for jumping batteries, local towing or help with a flat tire
  • – Zero-deductible glass coverage for chipped or broken windshields and window glass

Why do I need it?

First and foremost, it’s the law in nearly every state. One exception is New Hampshire; however, you need to prove that you’re financially capable of paying for the cost of an accident. If you’re caught driving without insurance, the penalties range from a hefty fine to a temporary license suspension.

In addition to the legal reasons, there are even more compelling reasons to have auto insurance:

  • – Save money – If you are involved in an accident, and it’s your fault, the out-of-pocket expenses can be financially crippling. Having insurance lets you off the hook.
  • – Peace of mind – Even if you have an impeccable driving record, accidents happen, even through no fault of your own. Knowing that your car and medical expenses are covered regardless of whether the other driver has insurance is a major relief.
  • – Supplements health insurance – Not all injuries sustained during an accident will be covered by regular Health Insurance. This is why it is important to ensure you carry Medical payments coverage. This coverage is intended to make sure you do not get stuck with the Medical bills after being injured in an accident, regardless of fault.

Claim examples – How coverage works

In this example, let’s say Mark is in a fender bender. It wasn’t his fault, but his car has sustained considerable damage. The first thing Mark should do is get the contact details and insurance information from the other driver and contact his own insurance company.

The two insurance companies will quickly work together to determine fault and a course of action. Assuming the findings point to the other driver being at fault, Mark will then be authorized to take his vehicle to a body shop for the repairs. His only out-of-pocket expense in terms of car repairs will be his insurance deductible.
